Cette conférence, organisée par la Société canadienne de génie civil (SCGC) et l'Association Internationale des Ponts et Charpentes (AIPC), a eu lieu au Québec en 2006. C'est une excellente vitrine sur les ouvrages d'art, en particulier au niveau nord-américain.
The Canadian Society of Civil Engineers' (CSCE's) International Short & Medium Span Bridge Conference has been held every four years in Canada since 1982. It provides a worldwide state-of-the-art forum for all aspects of short and medium span bridge design, engineering, construction and maintenance. Attendees are bridge engineers, consultants, contractors, administrators, and researchers from Canada, the United States, Europe and the rest of the world. The conference is co-sponsored by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).
